The breakfasts were amazing and lovely, with cheeses and every bite. the hotel's location was really close to Castle Leslie Estate and the restaurant, which wasn't pretentious. This venue exceeded all expectations in every way. I would be happy to recommend it.

for the wedding reception, the setting garden and lake view were excellent; the castle facility was faded; the catering was standardised.

The place is fairly clean and incredibly beautiful. Sumptuous and tidy units with the loveliest Victorian decor, bathrobe, for example, and great staff. 100% recommend to family: )

The lodge is set in beautiful grounds, and although it was fully booked it was very quiet. There were lots of walks and the village of Glaslough is beautiful.
We had problems checking in-(the staff couldn't find our booking). We had to sit in the reception with little information and had to wait 20 mins. The information given to us from reception staff was very limited, with no orientation about the lodge or dining options etc. When we arrived at our room there was luggage and a coat from the previous occupants still in the room(we checked in at 16.30hrs!). The bin had not been emptied and there was a broken towel rail in the bathroom. For an expensive hotel the staff need to up their game!. The castle was out of bounds as there was a wedding taking place, as this was one of the main reasons for staying here it was extremely disappointing. We stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary- so all of these issues did affect our final thoughts on the whole experience.

The experience was excellant and I would definitely return. The stuff where super friendly and outstandingly accommodating, the breakfast was MARVELLOUS with lots of food. The room was spotless, unique and the beds were extremely comfy. The location was amazing and beautiful, just next door to the Castle rather than the Lodge, restaurants and the gardens. I ate at the casual restaurant near the hotel.
